Today was a long and eventful day.
Morning. Mr Andrews returned our GP tests. Everyone got back theirs, except a few of the classmates. And I was quite certain Mr Andrews would use those "chosen" ones as mistake examples.
Oh Hoho. Here comes the GOOD part.
The unreturned ones were good ones, that passed with at least 12 points. Out of 20. Like 12!!?
Apparently, most the class failed.
Oh guess what. I scored the highest in class, with a mere 14.5/20. Haha!
During lunch, the class took a bus to Heartland Mall and after a while of ficklemindedness, the girls ate at the hawker centre, while the guys ate at Macs.
Afterwhich, we decided to WALK back. On the way, I heard some remarks that I think I shouldnt have heard. I got a shock. Nasty remarks. OK, maybe I was being too sensitive or something. Nevertheless, its not nice to talk about people behind the backs (literally). Talk in FRONT LAH.
And so I got a bit pissed. Hmmm. All I can say is, impressions can change. Who I thought was nice, may not be so afterall.
Everyone is subject to changes anyway.
And so, I walked back by myself.
Then, I cried with Rachel. Talk talk.. Then, Rachel had to go for math tutorial, and me, GP lecture. I didnt want to go GP cos I was already LATE. But Rachel insisted.
So I walked to LT5. And then I backed away. Yeah, call me a coward or whatever you might think of. =p
I spent the next hour ponning class (for the first time!) and playing basketball.
OK. Rephrase.
I spent the next hour ponning class (for the first time!) and watched Jonnie and another guy play basketball.
Took his phone and watch BY MISTAKE.
And that fella didnt even notice.
Actually, me too. I kinda forgot I was wearing and carrying his stuff. =p
Went home after one hour, then was resting, when Adele and Stef called to say there was dance. RARGH.
I rushed back to school. And remembered to return Jonnie's stuff.
Dance was rather short today. Did the usual ballet stuff (I think by the end of the 3 months, I would be dang pro. Like ultra flexibility, super strong muscles..), did the contemporary dance and then dance ended. FAST MAN.
Went to the gallery, talked somemore with Rachel about the lunch thing, then went downstairs to watch the soccer game with Jonnie, Smoker Keith Chang and Jun. I stepped on their shoes. =p
They kept commenting on my horrendous chinese. And since Smoker got exactly the same grades as me, he almost got offended. Heh. Oops.
Dont underestimate me. I may not be able to speak fluent chinese or for that matter, understand chinese. But, when it comes to answering questions, somehow, I can score.
ANYWAY. My school won YJ 2-0. Woohoo. Oh yeah.
Went for dinner with Smoker, Jonnie, Jun (I forgot his full name), SK (also forgot his name) and Jesslyn (I FORGOT HER CHINESE NAME).
ARGH. Eh you all with chinese names.. GIVE YOURSELVES ENGLISH ONES PLEASE. So people like me can actually remember.
Ok. Nevermind.
So. Guess where we went for dinner.
HAWKER CENTRE. Heh. Mummy must be so proud of me.
Throughout the whole dinner time, Jonnie and Jun had fun finding out how much hokkien and chinese I understood. For the first time, I heard so much hokkien I have never ever heard of before. WOW.
Oh yeah. I saw my first gang fight today. While walking along the overhead bridge between my house to the bus stop to school, I saw a group of gangsters (pretty obvious they were gangstersif you asked me. They had purple hair, acted like big shots. Yuck) behind me.
I ignored them and walked more quickly. In front of me were 3 people. One was from St. Gabs.
Apparently, they were going the same way as me.
So, when I saw my bus, rushed to board it and didn't see the 3 guys board, I looked back. And saw that the group of gangsters had surrounded the St. Gabs guy. They all (roughly 5 people) punched and kicked him. The poor St. Gabs guy was cornered and he didn't retaliate. Everything looked like a scene in some action movie.
And stupid me just sat calmly on the bus.
Was tempted to film it down, before I realised what I was doing. NOTHING.
The gangsters didn't beat him up long. In fact, the whole time lasted about 20 seconds.
Scenarios of what I could do flooded my mind ONLY after everything ended. What a dumb ass I am.
I could have ran to the bus door and shouted at them, pretending to either 1) call the police or 2) film it all down.
I could have told the bus uncle about it.
I could have prayed.
I didn't.
Maybe I was in shock. After all, the closest I was to a gang fight before was the distance between the movie screen and I.
