Le Musical.

Woah!!! The Musical!!! Woah Woah!!!! I can't believe the musical is actually over. All the practices in ACS Barker... The nice dressing room only for dancers and good crowd.. The balcony overlooking the SWIMMING POOL!!!..The canteen and the food( like a foodcourt..how cool can it get?).. The concert hall..The people...Everything!!!

We have been to ACS Barker only a few times for rehearsals.. The place is truly huge..Olympic-sized swimming pool, foodcourt-like canteen, cinema-like concert hall...

Rehearsals were so much fun!! We played and sung all the musical songs in the bus on the way there..The musicians played their instruments ever so sweetly...We cheered and slept, ate...The bus was like our 2nd home...haha..kidding...

On the actual days of the musical, we came to school at 10 am for Friday and 9 for sat..To put on make up and board the bus to ACS... There, we ran through the musical once and touched up our makeup, then got ready for the big thing..

I danced in the Catus song, it was like so sad and so slow.. I acted as though a ballerina.haha..and really showed the people in front of me all my expressions..

Right after, was "Let us lift our hearts and sing" straight after the sad is the happy song..haha..total change..the lights were totally off after the cactcus song, so the whole concert hall was pitch dark..and we the dancers had to move into our next song position. I couldn't even see my hand if it was in front of me!!! Thank God for glow-in-the-dark masking tapes we marked on the stage..haha..

For Jambre's song, we had to run off stage afer "Let us lift our hearts and sing" and then quickly change in to our 2nd costume.. spaghetti tops, long pearly white silk pants, a blue scarf round the waist, head band, arm bands and lots of glitter..everyone was so rushed to change.. but the song was so great man! The dancers just went on stage and danced what they had practiced for weeks!! The dance was soooo Broadwayish..haha..I loved every minute of it..

"Someday" was the last scene of Act 1, sad and crying out to God..I heard a lot of people were touched and felt God's presence or something..

'Testimony of His love'.. happy and dancy song..Miss Goh kept on telling us to 'shake every second' and smile and look up..

Carried in the calf and acted dazed, for the Puppets scene, the teachers said we did great, acting dazed, could not really blink, blink only when there were people in front of you to block you.. the 4 of us carrying the calf had to freeze and not move too..

Ending, we also sang the 'Testimony of His love' song..Dancers from both sides entered according to height quickly..just like the cactus song, only that in the cactus song we walked in slowly.. Miss Goh told me to stand in front of the dancers, next to the main cast as the other side was unbalanced..no one was blocking me from the audience!! But it was fun..

Curtain call(no need to act) ..we sang a few more songs and said thanks to the teachers..

Man!! It was a phenominal show..Thank God for everything..!!!!!...
