This week has been long. Actually. No, my grammer is wrong. The week isnt even over. So this week feels longer than usual.

Our class is being fired by the teachers left right and centre, all because of one teacher in school who has the influence (somewhat) on the teachers.

She, the "i'm a bitch but i'm not an unreasonable bitch", has lauched a series of attacks on our class. She claims that it seems, the world revolves around us, 07a09. But actually, if we think back about recent events, we can tell the same thing to her.

Come on man, the world does not spin around you like you think it does. Wake up.

What happened to good examples?

What happened to encourage instead of using vulgarities and coarse language for lectures and lessons?

-------------------------------------------------

Today was a really fun day. We went for SL at holland village. Took the grandmas and grandpas to chinatown, visited the tooth relic temple and the indian temple. The grandmas had the loudest voice. Haha.

Then we went to SMU to eat and take pictures before heading to Holland again for the games, singing and all. I think all the elderly had fun. They looked like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Which is good. =)

My 'grannie' is so cute! Her name is MARY. Haha! So throughout the day I called her auntie mary. =) Sounds so funny. Haha. Auntie Mary constantly mumbles and she is not as loud as auntie Lun, another auntie my group took care of, but auntie Mary has something about her that reminds me of my own paternal grandma. Maybe thats why I stuck with her throughout the day's programmes.

Auntie Mary can speak a bit of english! =)) Halfway during the games back in Holland, when I asked auntie Mary which station she wanted to go next, auntie Mary smiled, looked up at me and mumbled," Tired, tired". HAHA. So cute!

Thats auntie Mary for you. =)

After the whole programme, Rachel Serene and I went to Thai Express for dinner. Halfway through dinner I just commented that I wanted to get bangs. And right after dinner, we checked out the prices of 3 salons and I got my bangs then! Haha. So yes, cheryl has bangs now, she looks like a japanese doll.

Like that. Haha!

OH MAN OH MAN SINGAPORE WON THE BID. YESSS.

Everyone was so excited and nervous at the same time, right before the announcements made from Switzerland. And when we were announced the winners, EVERYONE SCREAMED. You can imagine. The whole padang area and the steps of City Hall filled with thousands of jumping people, happy that Singapore is finally a host country to such an important event. There were so many photographers there that we felt like stars. While dancing, the photographers were all," smile smile smile!! oh look here! look here!"

I want to see our picture in the papers tomorrow! Haha. So exciting.

The stage set on the steps of City Hall was extremely weird. There were about 5 levels of stage, not just one plain flat ground. So it took about 2 failed run throughs and 20 minutes of sitting down to plan on what the blocking would be changed like to get the blockings done.

Generally we did it quite alright. Haha. A few places we did wrongly, blocking was off or timing was off. But I thought it was a good run.

Dawn's boyfriend and Jem were sitting in the middle of a grass patch on the padang waiting for us. Haha. Then together with Dawn Amanda Constance and Germaine, we went to Pasta Mania.

Throughout the whole dinner we kept laughing like mad over the simplest stuff. Haha. And we saw Keisha and VK! =)

Went shoe shopping for a while with Jem after we discovered Peninsula was closed. I bought SOCKS! =)) Haha. Yay. Eh. This is a cause for celebration ok. Half the socks in the shoe cupboard has HOLES in them. I recently discovered. =p

SA Dance Society is performing tomorrow at the padang, for the Youth Olymics 2010 Announcement thing. I sure hope we'll win the bid. But doing this performance for the nation is kinda scary. Thinking of it makes my stomach churn already. Aww man.

And tomorrow, I'll be leaving at 11 plus instead of 12 like the dancers are supposed to. Gotta do the presentation for the China trip in front of the J1s oh my tians.

Why why why did benny go to uk.

Laoshi wants me to share my egg story. About how I didnt know how to ask the breakfast chef for scrambled eggs, how I told him to " luan luan chao" which means anyhow fry. Haha. And how the chef asked if I was speaking chinese cos he couldn't understand a single word I said.

Oh memories.

I cant find my dance pants. Any of the 3 pairs. This is so strange. OMG OMG OMG.

ARGH. I'm so frustrated from finding them. Damn.

I'm gonna cry! My dance pants!! =((

My school celebrated Best friends day on friday even though valentine's day was over. The atmosphere wasnt as great as before valentine's day though.

Had performance at SGH. Was excused from class at 4. But I ended school at about 1230. Rargh. 3.5 hour wait. Can kill. Shared lunch with Jem before Tingwei and I gave out the rest of the lollipops. We wrote notes to the CTs to pass it onto their class since we didn't know anyone from any of those classes. Then we left the lollipop packages in the teacher's pigeon holes. HAHA.

Later, Jem messaged me about a rock concert in the AVA. Haha. He was preparing soccer chapel with Irwin. Which he told me later at night was good. Like really powerful stuff happened. =) Nice one God. You rock! Haha. It's amazing how God touches lives in school.

I think it's pretty cool to be able to worship with your CCA mates. Good bonding time too.

When Tingwei had lessons, Jem and I just slacked in the CC. The auntie cleaning the CC was friendly and she told us how her children didn't want to let her work until she said if she didn't work she might go senile! HAHA.

4pm, went to the dance studio, did make up and everything but had no time to tie hair. =p The dancers were in a major RUSH to get on the bus to SGH. Haha. It was quite a sight.

On the bus, everyone was busy tying their hair, putting on make up when the bus stopped at a traffic light and eating. HAHA. Athena couldnt take the tempting smell of subway so she sat with me in the end, far from the smells of sandwiches. Haha.

The makeshift stage at SGH was DAMN SMALL. 4 by 4 oh my tians. Tingying's dance was cut up really badly. So much blocking was cut out that some people only came up stage for like 30 seconds or so. Red's dance was not as bad, there were only a few people to start with anyway. Haha.

After Tingying's performance, all the dancers in Red's item rushed to change. About 10 people squeezed into the handicap toilet to change. Haha! Ah well. Bonding times. =p

There was some lion dance troupe performing before our item and it took super long! They did nothing much other that twitching the lion head. Really really boring. And!! The oranges that they peeled made the stage a bit sticky! So irritating! Haha.

After our item, I went to change and realised that I missed the bus back to school. Haha. So I took cab. Oh my tians. $10. Rargh. I didn't miss much of the movie screening though.

But Jem said the movie under the stars started late. When I reached school, it had only played for 15 minutes or so. So ok lah. I thought I would have missed half the show or something. Haha. Sat with the soccer guys on the bench. Yay. No sitting grass that makes my leg itch. Haha.

After that we went to Macs for a while before going home.

Saturday. DANCE DANCE. Zaki continued his emo emo dance. Then the other half of the time was spent on Red's dance. Haha. There were so many changes everyone was rather confused. Peformance on Thursday at the Padang, for the announcement of Youth olymics location thing. AHH.

Met Jem in town and shopped for a while. GOT MY CLUTCH! Haha. Yayness. Wanted to get shoes too but there was either no size or no other nice designs. =(

Ate fried mars bars and ice cream!!! Not bad eh quite nice. Haha. Then we went to Gluttons Bay and ate somemore with the TM youths. Yay CNY dinner! Haha. It was easy to spot the J2s since we were either in bright yellow or blue. Haha. The girls wore blue and the guys wore yellow.

SAW THE F1 racer! OH MY TIANS. UBER cool. It drove up and down the street and made a terribly loud noise. Haha. But watching it burn the rubber when it went in circles was a thrill. It was almost like some movie scene. HAHA.

So unlucky! We left when Chingay ended! And then we were caught in the human jam! =((
Took us an hour plus to reach home. Rargh. I was so tired! Jem slept on the MRT standing up! HAHA.

Thats basically it. Long days. But fun days. =)

Cheryl thinks valentine's day 2008 is the best day she's spent in SA so far.

I must say, SA's got quite a high standard. Today's gonna be the benchmark for future valentine's days.

The atmosphere was much better than open house, christmas, easter, founder's day, teacher's day, youth day all rolled in one. Maybe it's because the council did a wonderful job psyching everyone since the beginning of the week.

Monday was make a friend day. The council gave out smiley stickers to each person in school. And every one was difference. Only another 11 people in the rest of the school had the same stickers. So if we manage to find the friend who has exactly the same sticker as you, both get a prize from the SC.

My friend found me when I was queuing up for wanton soup. She was from PL too and recognised me since day 1 last year but she didn't say anything! Haha. She knows my name and all but I have never seen her around in school at all! So finally after a year and a month or so, we became friends! Nice one SC.

Tuesday was surprise a friend day. We were to look for stickers with notes pasted behind to claim our prize. There was hundreds of stickers pasted everywhere but only 35 had the note. =) I got one. Haha.

Wednesday was confession day. The SC moved one big soccer goal post to the fitness corner. They decorated it and made it the WEB OF LOVE. There were slips of cardboard and paper cut into heart shapes where people could write their confessions on and clip it up on the net.

Today's valentine's day, we had balloon stations, badge stations, song dedication stations, flower stations and a lot more. Seriously, damn cool.

The whole day was play play and play, give out presents and play somemore. Lessons and tutorials didn't seem long cos everyone was already doing their thing and not many people listened to lessons.

Our v'day project went really well. =) I must say, God gave us miracles. Without Him, we won't be able to finish so much. Haha. And God is a God of so much more, he gave us extras. We were worried that there were not enough somemore. Haha. Aiy.

Monday, we started to finish up all the cards. Perforate and signing off. Not many people stayed back to help. In the end Jem and I worked till 7 plus. While walking out of school, we saw many stckers everywhere. The first one I flipped had a note behind! And I thought every one I saw did too. But no. Haha. We then took abit of time and flipped all that we could find. But no more note. Stopped at KFC for a while more to take pictures before going home.

Tuesday, a few more people like Serene, Ting Wei and Gwen helped out until they all had to go. And Jem and I worked till 9 30 at night. Then when the security uncle wanted to lock the school, we went for dinner then went to macs to work until 1 am. We finished doing 4 cans of lollipops. We were the first 2 to put up our confessions on the web of love that was already set up in the fitness corner. Haha. We took more pictures of us working. Cam whoring is fun! =p

Wednesday. Serene Chloe Gwennie Cons and most of 07A09 helped to do more work. I thought it was really cool. Like the whole cafe bench filled up with people sitting side by side, doing the same work. Some didn't help not cos they were lazy but there wasn't enough space to sit. Haha. See how amazing God is. Only Jem and I didn't stay back to help. I had dance then I collected the roses before heading back to school to get 3 cans of lollipops, the mahjong paper used to wrap the lollipops and all the other smaller equipment.

Uncle James came over for steamboat dinner and between him and daddy, they finished 2 bottles of french wine and a bottle of australian. Uncle James even had Carlsberg. Haha. Power. I slept really early. Yay.

This morning. Woke up at 5 AM! And by 5 30 I was outside Potong Pasir macs. Haha. Jem came on time at 5 45 and we had breakfast and wrapped a few J1 classes' lollipops. When we reached school, Serene and Ting Wei were there already. Then Gwennie came, chloe came and all of us chionged to finish wrapping 2 levels worth of lollipops. Ponned assembly at the CC to give out the J1's share. =))

Then we sat at the lockers to chill, I copied 3 binomial questions.

Most of the stuff was given out and we had extras! =)

Throughout the day, people gave and received presents, flowers, cards, balloons, cookies, cakes, brownies and more. At the cafe, you could see like balloons flying everywhere. It was really cool.

Our class sang out most of the songs loud during our breaks. Haha. I saw like quite a few people staring but our class is like that. We dont give a toots =p As long as we enjoy ourselves, nothing much else matters. Haha.

Cam whored thoughout the day with different people. Haha. Fun fun!

I had my first cup of Teh Bing today! Thanks Ian! =)) Haha. Memorable.

Thanks Jem for the "secret" letter, your thoughts and your time. =)

Amanda! I loved the cake you gave!! DAMN GOOD STUFF. Heh.

Thanks everyone for making today one of the most memorable days in SA.

10 reasons why Cheryl has to watch what she's eating.

1. She can barely fit into her shorts. They look like underwear now.
2. Her arms jiggle.
3. Thin double chin appearing in pictures.
4. Napfa
5. Height and weight taking.
6. Rapture and other performances.
7. She can't wear loose fit shirts without them looking tight.
8.
9.
10.

I can't think of any now. Haha. But seriously, CNY has seen me without much self control. Opps. So cheryl ate a bit too many pieces of bahkwa and chocolates. Heh. This is what happens when everything is displayed so nicely on coffee tables and the aunties all go," Take! Take lah! Got a lot, neh mind one! "

The first month in the year 2008 was one with less than 5 packs of M&Ms in school. Far cry from the average of 35 per month for the last few months leading to promos last year.

It's always skinner at the beginning of the year, fatter at the end. I blame exams. Ah what a vicious cycle. I bet when I graduate from school, my weight won't fluctuate so much.

Whatever it is, it's only feb. Not yet july. So no excuses huh. Haha.

---------------------------------------

Visitations are fun cos you get to see how much people have changed.

Like oh that uncle lost some teeth or oh that nephew's all grown up and skinny. And oh that cousin looks like me.

Every year the conversational topics never changes. " How the ministry of education works", "how children's grades are generated" and "how they are then posted".

Bonus points, IP, IB, choo train, Raffles, Tao Nan, PL, SA, AC, VJ blah blah blah.

Only occasionally people stray from the subjects and talk about who is married and has how many kids, why that certain member of the family got a divorce and whether or not the singles have boyfriends or girlfriends already. Then the conversation is steered back to school.

Eg.

Cheryl got boyfriend already or not?!

No lah I don't have.

Really ah, eh don't bluff me lah. Your school I heard have so many cute boys wan, surely a lot of people queuing up for you right!

No lah haha. No time.

YEAH LOR, nowadays ah the kids have this this this and that that and all the CCA things ah... Your school got the what blah blah blah one or not ah... What's the cut off point for blah blah school now ah? Then I heard that blah blah school going to have this that this that right.

Er. Yeah.

Er. Yeah.

Er. Yeah.

OK! Who wants to play blackjack!

=)

----------------------

Now I'm learning the art of being a banker. I learn from greg my pro sec 2 master. Seriously, this kid has some gene in him that makes him a gambler at heart. He knows when to look at people's cards and he picks the correct moment to turn over someone's cards. Then he'll take another card and his luck seldom allows him to get more than 21 points.

Teach him mahjong? 10 minutes and he can whip you unside down. EH I LEARNT MAHJONG.HAHA. Yay now I know how to play. Woots. I thank my masters Mark and Ben. Haha. Who tried all night yesterday to get 13yao. Always close, but never close or fast enough.

Mark Ben Bryan Greg and I talked about stuff when there wasn't much to do. We talked all about drinking clubbing, bouncers and how greg will literally be bounced out. Haha. Fun. Fun. I want to go for a mambo night despite all the stories I've heard of how people do retarded actions and stuff. Mark will bring me during the march holidays. Yay. Its supposed to be the safest night in the week. Wednesdays. Haha.

3rd day of the CNY, met Wynnie at tm, bought some stuff and then went to the twin's house. Sneaky sneaky, I borrowed 2 oranges to bainian heh.

Katrina is so so pretty! I think she's the prettiest toddler I've ever met in my life. I'm so glad I took so many pictures with her. =) When she grows up, I'll make her autograph the pictures, that lil covergirl. Yay. Haha.

Bobs is as fat as before. Lazier. And fat. His tail wag still can kill though. Haha.

Characterized by Prayer

By Greg Laurie

The Lord said, 'Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you arrive, ask for Saul of Tarsus. He is praying to me right now.' Acts 9:11

When God told Ananias to look for Saul, He said he would be praying. Sure enough, that is exactly what Ananias found him doing. I think Saul probably was asking God to forgive all the wrongs he had done. Can you imagine how hard it would be to accept God's forgiveness if you not only had been a murderer, but also had deliberately hunted down the followers of Jesus Christ and brought about their premature deaths? How hard it would be to have that on your conscience!

But Saul, prayed and in the process, discovered that intimacy could be found with this God whom he had only known in a distant way before. You can't help but notice as you read through his epistles that prayer characterized Paul's life. So many of them begin or end with beautiful prayers. It was Paul who told us to pray without ceasing (see 1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Paul also practiced what he preached. When he and Silas were thrown in prison for preaching the gospel, they prayed and sang praises to God at midnight, and the other prisoners heard them. Now, who would want to pray at a time like that? But instead of cursing the men who put them there, they were blessing God. No wonder the other prisoners were listening to them. This was the transformation that took place in the life of Paul. He was a man of prayer.

Are you a man or a woman of prayer? Does prayer characterize your life? It should. If you want live this Christian life effectively, then you need to learn how to pray.

I've been bugged by pains on the left side of me for the whole day now, but that didn't dampen the mood.

Morning, my class showered me with flowers. Literally. I was standing in the cafe and they threw everything down. HAHA.

07A09 eh. sneaky sneaky all.

Jiaen bluffed me that Ms Chan wanted to see the class. We were in the comp lab typing our lit essays. then she went off first to " put stuff in the art room and all" if I remember correctly.

after a while i went down and found no one in the cafe. then sybs called me and asked me to buy sweets for her. so i did and i saw a few classmates at level 2 so i thought miss chan wanted to see the class outside the staffroom.

i was walking up then sybs called and said miss chan was there in the cafe already.

then i went back and then threw flowers sing song all. haha. and they got a cake made out of ice cream swiss rolls and chocolate eclaires. haha.

night, i was about to sleep already when my brother switched off the aircon and shoved me out of the house. he said there was something for me.

and i saw a red paper heart stuck outside my door. half was a clu to the next heart and the other half was a short message from someone. so i followed the hearts around the whole cherryhill compound and had to get the last clue from the centre of the swimming pool. then aud mich beeth jo and rj surprised me with cupcakes that spelt my name. altogether more than 12 of them. SO NICE. I was pleasantly surprised. =)

LOVE YALL. and they gave me a self decorated file. with our pictures and more pretty pretty deco. THANK YOU. =)

Words cannot express how touched I was.
